Practice

in times of Corona

Introduction: In these difficult and extraordinary times, we all need advice - not just on how to behave and manage our daily lives, but we also we need to pay attention to the effect the crisis has on our minds and mental states.

I have recently been studying Buddhist teachings called the Six Paramitas with some friends in Hamburg. Having these teachings in the back of my mind has been incredibly helpful in these last few weeks. Thank you very much, Hamburg friends, for the opportunity to reflect further!

The Six Paramitas are dana (generosity), sila (ethical practice), ksanti (forbearance), virya (vigour), samadhi (meditation) and prajna (wisdom).

In these short audio recordings I am  sharing some thoughts from my own practice of the Six Paramitas. I hope that some of you might find them useful. The first audio is an introduction to the theme; there will be three more, each of them talking about a pair of the Six Paramitas.

Please contact me if you want to be informed when the next one is online.
