12 Sept 2024, 15:00 – 15 Sept 2024, 15:00

Metta Vihara Buddhist Retreat Centre, Hengstdijkse Kerkstraat 36, 4585 AC Hengstdijk, Netherlands

To be alive is to be related. What we call ‘I’ and what I call ‘you’ are both vehicles of that relating. They are a play between our experiences of being in this world with others.

In movement and in meditation, we will start to listen and to play. We will experience ourselves in the world as part of the world, rather than engaging in talking about the world.

In this way we discover that our life, our experience is always new and always fresh.

Using improvisation and reflection we explore a way of practising that does not withdraw from the world, but allows us to be alive in the midst of it - finding ways to participate and offer ourselves.

This retreat is led in English, by Jayachitta and Akasasuri, and hosted by the beautiful Metta Vihara Retreat Centre in Holland.

'Metta Vihara means abode of loving kindness. We welcome everyone who is looking for more depth or more meaning in life. Our retreat center offers a tranquil environment for tranquility, simplicity and contentment. Within walking distance is a small nature reserve De Putting – a wetland where meadow birds breed.

All are welcome, who are interested in meditation and embodied methods of practice.

Please book here, and book early, as the number of participants is limited.
